Nanu is designed to help users explore the mysteries, legends, and unexplained phenomena they encounter in their daily lives. Our Community Guidelines are intended to foster a safe, respectful, and intellectually curious environment where members can share their discoveries, exchange ideas, and engage in meaningful dialogue.
These guidelines apply to all content posted or shared on Nanu, including posts, comments, images, videos, and AI-generated or manipulated media. They also apply to interactions between users, including private messages.
We encourage all users to:
The following activities and types of content are strictly prohibited on Nanu:
Zero Tolerance Policy
Nanu has a zero-tolerance policy for content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors. This includes any imagery, text, or AI-generated content depicting or suggesting child sexual abuse or exploitation.
Violations will result in immediate account suspension or termination and will be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and other appropriate authorities. For more details, see our Child Safety Standards Policy.
Nanu recognizes that AI tools can help users visualize theories or recreate events. However, transparency is critical to maintaining trust and integrity within our community.
Failure to properly label AI-generated or manipulated content may result in content removal or account restrictions. Intentional misuse of AI tools to deceive or harm others will result in stricter enforcement actions, including account termination.
To help users evaluate the credibility and nature of content, Nanu encourages (and in some cases requires) the use of context labels. These labels promote transparency without censoring ideas or speculation.
Users are encouraged to cite sources, provide background information, and engage in good-faith debates. While speculation and alternative theories are welcome, content that deliberately misrepresents facts or seeks to deceive others may be removed or labeled by moderators.
Nanu relies on our community to help maintain a safe and respectful environment. If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines:
All reports are reviewed by our moderation team. We may not respond to every individual report, but we investigate all flagged content.
When content or behavior violates these guidelines, we may take the following actions:
For minor violations or content that lacks proper context, we may apply labels or issue warnings to help users make informed decisions.
Content that clearly violates these guidelines will be removed. You will be notified of the removal and the reason(s) behind it.
Repeated violations may result in temporary or permanent restrictions on your ability to post, comment, or interact with other users.
Severe or repeated violations—especially those involving child safety, harassment, or illegal activities—may result in permanent account termination.
In cases involving illegal activity (such as CSAM), we will report the content and user information to the appropriate authorities, including NCMEC and law enforcement agencies.
If you believe your content was removed or your account was restricted in error, you may appeal the decision:
Our team will review your appeal and respond as quickly as possible. Please note that decisions involving child safety or illegal content are final and not subject to appeal.
Nanu is committed to complying with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to:
For more information on how we protect children and comply with child safety laws, see our Child Safety Standards Policy.
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or community feedback. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of Nanu after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised guidelines.
